Everyone says that when you're scared of being in love, you're scared of getting hurt. So maybe you are, you don't want to have to handle going through something like that, but maybe that's not it, maybe its deeper than that. It's not that you're shy or hate love, it's that maybe you're scared of someone loving you, and you not being able to love them back, but why? Why would someone be scared of not being able to love someone?

It's a trap. it's layers and layers of excitement that when it comes down to it, you have let go of them. You have to realize they want you. You have to let them in and trust them. And then you ask yourself why would someone love someone like me? And for some strange reason, it's almost like you can't like them just because they love you.

It's like the saying, you can't expect someone to love you when you don't even love yourself. You don't trust that you could be enough for them, or maybe you don't trust them? So then doesn't it all come back to being hurt? Being scared they will throw it all away.. or maybe you will? But could that really be the answer?. Because I know I'm scared of love and I know I'm not scared of pain. So how come some people have taken that path to being scared of someone loving them. And hey maybe it's only me, maybe everyone else is scared of getting hurt and I'm the only person that's scared of being loved.

So what did I feel when you told me you loved me? I think I got scared. I realized that I had to be yours, I had to grow up and I had to let go of all those insecurities I grew up to believe.
